Christina Finnerty, FNP-C

Founder · Family Nurse Practitioner

My name is Christina Finnerty, and I have been caring for patients as a nurse and Family Nurse Practitioner for more than 27 years.

Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of practicing in many different areas of medicine, including pediatric intensive care, urgent care, women's health, functional medicine, sleep medicine, longevity medicine, regenerative medicine, and aesthetic medicine. Each specialty has taught me something valuable about the human body and the people entrusted to my care.

My journey began as a pediatric intensive care nurse at Primary Children's Hospital, where I witnessed the incredible resilience of children. Even in the face of serious illness, they taught me an unforgettable lesson: they weren't focused on dying — they were focused on living. Their parents taught me something equally important — compassion. I quickly learned that fear, exhaustion, and uncertainty often present as frustration or anger. Rather than taking those emotions personally, I learned to look beyond the behavior and see the person who was hurting.

My first position as a Family Nurse Practitioner was in functional medicine, where I learned to look beyond symptoms and ask a deeper question: Why is this happening? There I discovered the profound influence of nutrition, hormone balance, metabolic health, sleep, mental well-being, and lifestyle on long-term health.

My years practicing sleep medicine further transformed my understanding of healing. I came to appreciate that deep, restorative sleep is one of the body's greatest healing tools. During healthy sleep, our bodies repair, regenerate, consolidate memories, regulate hormones, and support immune function. Without restorative sleep, every aspect of health is affected.

My experience in urgent care reinforced the importance of recognizing and treating acute illness while also understanding that today's urgent problem may reflect broader health patterns that deserve attention. Women's health deepened my appreciation for the profound effects hormones have throughout every stage of life and the importance of helping women navigate those changes with knowledge and confidence. My work in aesthetic medicine reminded me that confidence and well-being are closely connected, and that helping people feel comfortable in their own skin can be an important part of caring for the whole person.

One belief has become stronger with every patient I have cared for

The human body has an extraordinary capacity to heal when we create the conditions that allow healing to occur.

That doesn't mean every illness can be cured. It does mean that sleep, nutrition, movement, stress management, meaningful relationships, and appropriate medical care all work together to influence health.

I believe medications have an important place in medicine, and I prescribe them when they are appropriate. Sometimes people need symptom relief before they have the energy to make lasting lifestyle changes. My goal is never to choose between medicine and healthy habits — it is to use both thoughtfully and individually.

Healing begins with listening

I intentionally schedule longer appointments because I believe healing begins with listening. I want to know your story. I want to understand not only what hurts, but why. I want to teach you what your lab results mean, how your daily habits influence your health, and how small changes, practiced consistently, can make a meaningful difference over time.

My hope is that you leave every visit feeling more informed, more confident, and more empowered than when you arrived.

My philosophy is simple — master the basics

  • Sleep deeply.
  • Nourish your body.
  • Move often.
  • Breathe intentionally.
  • Strengthen your mind.
  • Reduce unnecessary stress.
  • Build healthy relationships.
  • Stay curious.

When we consistently support these foundations, we give the body the best opportunity to function, adapt, and heal.

Thank you for trusting me with your care. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward better health.
